Disney Princess, also called the Princess line, is a franchise of media and the line of toys owned by The Walt Disney Company. Created by Disney Consumer Products Chairman Andy Mooney, in early 2000, the franchise has a formation of fictitious female protagonists that appeared in various Disney franchises.
The franchise does not include all the characters from all the media owned by Disney Princess, but I prefer refers to select specific characters of the series and the company animated movies. From 2013, the eleven characters considered part of the franchise is snow white, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida.
The franchise has released dolls, videos of songs, clothing, beauty products, decoration for the home, toys and a variety of other products, showing some of the Disney Princesses. License for the franchise includes Glidden (ink), Stride Rite (bright shoes), Hasbro (games and dolls) and Fisher-Price plastic figurines.
